Everyone has a story to tell. We all have our own unique talents, experiences, and specialties which we can all use to help others, and bloggers are no different. Even though the subject is the same (personal finance and investing), the wisdom we share and the knowledge we can learn from each other are all unique. I’ve been following several blogs ever since I started writing, and these are some of the ones I enjoy reading. Come on and check them out! You might learn something new.
“Give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day; teach a man how to fish and he’ll eat for a lifetime.”
One of the main reasons why YourWealthyMind.com was created is to help the needy by providing information that they might need. For the average poor Filipino or the low wage employee with a family to feed, life feels like a maze of hard work with little reward. Fortunately, the way out can be learned.
Before we begin, we have to learn one important fact: It’s not how hard we work that determines our pay but how much VALUE we give.
A street sweeper earns less than a software developer.
A rag peddler earns less than a real estate sales agent.
A cook that makes cheap stew earns less than a gourmet chef at a five-star restaurant.
The time and effort at work is similar, but the pay differences are immense.
What’s the key to it all? Useful KNOWLEDGE.
Sometimes, all you need is just one crucial piece of info in order to succeed, and one of the best ways to find it is to learn from the writings of those who have already succeeded at it. Here’s my short guide on choosing the best books about anything you need to accomplish.
(But First!) Why Books over Free Blog Posts and other Internet Resources?
- In general, most well-written books are organized well from start to finish. Although you might find the same information in a collection of blog posts, their ideas will tend to be fragmented and you might have a more difficult time synthesizing and combining the information into something workable.
- Unlike blog posts which, by necessity, need to be short and thus cannot go into too much detail on certain topics, well-written books can and do go in-depth about their subjects and do it as a consistent and thematic whole.
- This is, most likely, the most important one: Since literally almost ANYONE can write a blog, you’ll find MILLIONS of posts (and “free” eBooks) out there that are garbage, like plagiarized content, black hat SEO spam, etc. (so says the blogger, though I DO promise excellence, you know). Books, on the other hand, get evaluated by editors before they get published and that’s the first way to screen out the trash. The second safeguard are unbiased book reviews that are posted all over the internet. A quick read of those reviews will tell you if the information contained in a book is right for you or not.

You can have anything, be anything, and do anything you desire when you LEARN how to do it. You’ve obtained everything you have now, your salary, your relationships, and your career success, because that’s what you know how to earn.
It’s also all you’ve gotten because that’s ALL you learned to earn.
If you want to become even MORE successful in life, grow as a leader, and have a healthier body, then check out these books here! You might just find what you need.
Always remember: Ideas change lives.
In my previous article (“The Rich vs. Poor Myth: Wealth never Stolen; it is EARNED”), I posted about the Philippine poverty rate of nearly 26%. There is poverty everywhere, EVEN WHEN THERE SHOULDN’T BE.
It’s not just the poor who suffer. Much of the middle class are stuck in the drudgery of the “rat race.” It’s what Filipinos call “isang kahig, isang tuka” (lit. “one scrape, one meal”) or a life of living paycheck to paycheck.
So what is the solution? Most finance bloggers like me would say it’s Financial Education. For many who lack money or prosperity, the solution is to simply LEARN how to EARN it.
Learn how to create value and opportunities, just like every rich person who ever lived (check this article to see why).
There are many success and finance books, seminars, government programs, and many bloggers and writers who write about wealth building… yet very few use it. You can give the BEST Wealth and Finance Training in the World but still fail horribly at enriching people’s lives.
