What’s YourWealthyMind’s Vision and Mission?

Tagalog Version (Click Here)

It’s been almost three years since YourWealthyMind.com started so posting something like this seems a bit late. When you start a company, you will want to have a clear goal, a clear vision for its future, right from the start. Most of the time, however, although you know what you want to accomplish you can sometimes forget to actually write it down. This might be true for most small startups who are just starting out.

So what’s the vision and mission behind YourWealthyMind? Read up a bit as this might help you with how YOU plan your own company’s vision and mission.

Our goal:

While we didn’t have a written vision and mission statement, our goal has been in our About page since the beginning. We believe that ideas change lives, and the right idea taught to the right people can and will change the world. That is why we kept writing articles that can enrich people’s lives, not just financially, but in many other areas as well. This has been our original goal and it won’t change any time soon.

For the vision:

There’s a proverb that said “where there is no vision, the people perish”. Without a vision, a goal, or a dream, you simply drift in life and go nowhere, accomplishing nothing. What is our vision? What do we want to accomplish? We want to be a top-class success, self-improvement, and personal finance website that helps people all over the world with content that transcends language barriers and cultures.

For the mission:

It’s said that a mission answers questions like “what do we do?” and “who do we serve and how?”

So what do we do? We write and publish articles containing helpful information. Things that can help improve people’s personal and financial lives, careers and relationships, and more.

One major hurdle we try to cross is that since most of the best books and articles out there are written in English, they remain inaccessible to people who don’t have a good grasp of that language. That is why we translate most of our lessons and articles into other languages (only Tagalog for now but we plan to expand it soon) and then use search engine optimization (SEO) so that readers can find them. It’s said that when the student is ready, the teacher shall appear. Well, when the student desires to learn, they’ll search the internet for a guide, and that is how they’ll find us.

Now let’s go back to the beginning. What is our vision and mission statement? It’s still the same as our main goal.

Vision: Enrich the World and Eliminate Poverty, One Lesson at a Time.
Mission: Make Life-Changing Ideas Available to All.

The words may change as time passes, but the objective, the core idea, shall remain the same.

A few more things…

On a side note, there’s a reason why I, Ray L. the founder and main writer for YourWealthyMind didn’t name this blog after myself (i.e. “RayLucero.com”). I understand that things change and I won’t be here forever so from the start I wanted YourWealthyMind, the idea and the goal behind it, to stand on its own. I want it to continue helping people all over the world, long after I am gone.

Leadership is not about the next election, it’s about the next generation. — Simon Sinek

After reading so many success, self-improvement, and business books, one lesson stood out: In order to become successful, you need to help others. Stop focusing only on yourself or your own profit and do something good. Do something that benefits as much people as possible. If you do it right, success and wealth will simply be a natural side effect of the good that you do.

Now it’s your turn.

Why DO you do what you do? Is it for money? For your family to live well? To become famous and leave a mark on this world? Or is there something else?

Whatever your reason is, it should definitely inspire you to do your best. If you can, make your dream big, for as emperor Marcus Aurelius once said, “only big dreams can move people’s souls.”

Now think about this again. What is YOUR vision and mission in life?
