“Christmas is a season not only of rejoicing, but of reflection.”
2018 has been one wild year. A lot of bad things happened all over the world, but there was quite a lot of good that happened as well (of course, there’s way too many to list for both statements… and I’d rather not get political. In any case…).
In our personal lives, we may have all faced a lot of problems and difficulties, but we have to remember that we have also received blessings throughout the year too. Some lucky coincidences, unexpected gifts, meeting amazing new people, fond memories with friends and family members, sudden and unexpected opportunities, a bit (or quite a lot) of personal growth and introspection, and much, much more.
A lot of things happen every day, every month, and every year, and we probably don’t remember much of it. Nonetheless, they have all been part of our lives.
Let’s all be thankful for the challenges we’ve faced, the lessons we’ve learned, and the gifts and blessings that we received this year (and the all the years to come).
“Many an object is not seen, though it falls within the visual ray, because it does not come within the range of our intellectual ray, i.e., we are not looking for it. So, in the largest sense, we find only the world we are looking for.”Henry David Thoreau
To attract more good in our lives, we have to learn to pay attention and be thankful for all the good that happens in our lives. After all, that’s how our mind works and why life is mostly a self-fulfilling prophecy. We usually get more of what we focus on.
Let’s be grateful for all that we’ve got. We’ve all done our best so far so let’s enjoy this season of celebration. We’ve all earned it. Cheers everyone!
