Just recently some of the managers in our company told me to write about what I’ve learned during my few years as a Team Leader, as well as the lessons I’ve learned from the leadership books I’ve read.

Now, I won’t claim to be an expert with all the management and leadership skills in the world, but I was thinking…

Many of what I’ve learned from my experiences and what I’ve read (books written by great leaders and managers) can and WILL help those who are just starting out.

One major part of a Leader’s job is succession and coaching, and it’s our job to teach what we know to everyone who’ll need it.

3 Steps Para Magsikap at Magpayaman

“Magsikap ka sa trabaho at yayaman ka.”

 

Narinig na nating lahat iyon. Sinundan natin ang payo at nagsikap sa trabaho… pero NABIGO pa rin tayo sa pagpapayaman.

Overtime ka palagi, nagtratrabaho sa weekends, at minsan naghahanap ka pa ng second job, pero hindi ka pa rin yumayaman. Nahihirapan ka pa rin magbayad ng mga bills, at hindi mo pa rin mabili ang iyong dream home, ang pangarap mong kotse, international na bakasyon, pagkain sa napakasarap na restaurant, o pambayad sa tuition fee ng magandang school para sa iyong mga anak. Nahihirapan ka rin sigurong magdonate ng P1,000 sa charity.

May pay raises ka nga, mga bonus, at mga promotion sa pagtrabaho ng maigi… pero malamang hindi ito sapat para sa lahat ng pangarap mo sa buhay.

 

Bakit ang iba yumayaman at ang iba hindi? Paano mo nga ba mapapagsikapan ang mga pangarap mo?

“Work hard and you’ll eventually get rich.”

 

We’ve all heard that advice. We followed it and worked hard at our jobs… yet still FAILED to get rich.

 

You work overtime, work on weekends, and sometimes work at a second job, but you’re not getting any richer. You’re struggling to pay the bills, and you still can’t afford that dream home, that nice car, that international vacation, dinner from that amazing restaurant, and that excellent school’s tuition fees for your children. You probably find it hard to donate even just P1,000 to charity.

You can get pay raises, bonuses, and promotions from working hard… but it’s probably not enough for everything you want in life.
