My friend works at least ten hours a day, EVERY DAY, even during weekends. She’s been at her job for several months now and she’s perfectly fine with that schedule. Unfortunately, most of us aren’t fine with ours. No matter how much we want to avoid stress at work, it’s almost always there to sap our energy. Do you tend to hate Mondays too? Do you dislike your job? Do you come home stressed and tired every day because of work? Do you stay at your current job just because you need the money?

There’s one great way to minimize or avoid stress at work though. It’s not an easy solution, but it’ll certainly be worth it.

Paano mo nakakamit ang iyong Inaasahan: Kung bakit Self-Fulfilling Prophecy ang Buhay

Paano mo nakakamit ang iyong Inaasahan - Kung bakit Self-Fulfilling Prophecy ang Buhay - Your Wealthy Mind
English Version (Click Here)

How you get what you Expect: Why Life is a Self-Fulfilling Prophecy

How you get what you Expect - Why Life is a Self-Fulfilling Prophecy - Your Wealthy Mind
Tagalog Version (Click Here)

There’s a famous 1960’s study where a Harvard professor named Robert Rosenthal researched on the effects of teachers’ expectations on students. He gave a standard IQ test to elementary children, selected some ordinary kids at random, and told teachers that those few students will soon become very intelligent. Sure enough, after two years, the selected students DID indeed show an increase in IQ.

As Rosenthal’s research continued, he found that the teachers’ expectations affected their interactions with those randomly selected students. Those kids that the teachers expect to succeed were given “more time to answer questions, more specific feedback, and more approval: They consistently touch, nod and smile at those kids more.” In short, expectations affected their behavior, and their behavior affected their results. They expected the kids to do well, so they behaved in ways that made the kids do better.

So what does this story have to do with you? It’s simple. Your expectations about YOURSELF affects your behavior. Whether you know it or not, you act in ways that will make your expectations reality. Your entire life is a reflection of your thoughts.

Why is this important? If you want to avoid a life of failure and you want to improve the quality of your life, you need to learn how to control your thoughts and improve your expectations.

Ano ang mga “Anak Mayaman”? (at bakit kailangan mong igalang ang lahat, Mayaman man o Mahirap)

Ano ang mga "Anak Mayaman"? (at bakit kailangan mong igalang ang lahat, Mayaman man o Mahirap) - Your Wealthy Mind

What are “Rich Kids”? (and why you should be kind to everyone, Rich OR Poor)

What are “Rich Kids"? (and why you should be kind to everyone, Rich OR Poor) - Your Wealthy Mind
Tagalog Version (Click Here)

Some time ago I climbed Mount Pinatubo, one of the most famous volcanoes in the Philippines. It was a simple and enjoyable hike along the rivers and the canyons and the crater lake at the end was beautiful. Around the crater near the rest stop is a set of stairs, and it’s rather tiring to climb unless you exercise often. Of course, a lot of us tourists get tired there.

One of the guides, a local who is used to the mountain landscape remarked “Anak mayaman” (rich person’s offspring, or “rich kid”) in a disparaging tone. It’s a common mindset: Rich kids are weak, mean, and spoiled. I mean, that’s how they all are on TV, right?
