UPDATE: AFPSLAI Dividend Schedule 2021, CLICK HERE!

UPDATE: Due to the covid-19 pandemic, there’s a lot of things that you should know. First off, the EDA now is 13% (3.25% for the first quarter of 2020). Second, 2020’s first quarter April schedule has been delayed due to the quarantine. Third, there will be contact tracing and social distancing when you enter the premises.

Update (8/19/2020): EDA for the second quarter of 2020 is 9% per annum according to their announcement on this link.

Update (12/9/2020): EDA for the third quarter of 2020 is still 9% per annum or 2.25% per quarter.

afpslai october 2020 notice

AFPSLAI‘s Capital Contribution Account (CCA) is, in my opinion, one of the best investment vehicles for members of the AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines) and their families or beneficiaries. Investors, both regular and associate, get a rather large dividend payout that’s released every 4th Monday of the month following every quarter (April, July, October, and January). While it’s unfortunate that they no longer accept new associate members (families of AFP personnel), I do believe they still accept new regular members from the AFP.

One thing to remember is that there’s a LOT of people queuing up every dividend release. I usually get there at 8 a.m., get my number (in the hundreds), and get my transaction by 2 p.m. or later. Since it takes so long, it would be terrible if you wake up early, commute to your nearest branch, and find out that it’s not your scheduled date.

If you’re a member of AFPSLAI and you want to know their expected dividend advance schedule this 2020, then check out their schedule on the image below:

thank you for this information. This is very helpful. Although I also invested in pag ibig mp2, but their dividend fluctuates. I might as well open a time deposit here. Do you know if they still accept deposit for capcon? I am an associate member of afsplai.
    Many thanks.

      Hello Macky!

As far as I know, they don’t accept deposits in the capcon (Capital Contribution Account, the green passbook) if you’re an associate member.
I also want to invest more money there, but sadly I don’t think they’ll allow it for associate members any time soon.
Still, I’ll watch the announcements just in case. The next time I’ll go there is late July 2020.

Hello. I have a question. where will the dividend be posted?
What are the options po? Can i withdraw over the counter?
or deposit sa ibang savings account? ganun po ba yun?

      Hello Riki,

Dividends from the Green Passbook (Capital contributions account) are posted on the Red passbook (savings account). If you still have a yellow passbook, you need to go to a branch and get a red passbook before you can withdraw.
I don’t know if you can request that they deposit the dividends to another savings account in another bank. As far as I know, you will need to go to the nearest AFPSLAI branch to withdraw the dividend from the green passbook.

      I hope that helps!

      Regards,

      Hello John,

Hindi na rin sila tumatanggap ng bagong associate member accounts ngayon as far as I know.

      Regards,
      Ray Lucero

          Hello John,

Since uniformed personnel ka most likely sa green passbook pumapasok yung dividend mo.

        • For Regular Members, maximum deposit per quarter is ₱150,000 (inclusive of ₱15,000 over-the-counter deposit)
        • For Associate Members, over-the-counter deposits are currently not allowed

          Regards,
          Ray L.

Good day, Sir i am just wondering what is really the truth about the annual dividend rate, since it was announced by afpslai branch in our place that the quarterly dividend is 2.9 or 11.6% in annual. But then ,i recently read of what you have posted that the dividend is 3.25 or 13% per annum. What is really the truth of this. Then when i’ve updated my passbook the amount cannot suffice the interest rate that they told us… pls help me know what is really the truth… thank you so much… God bless us all..

      Hello Genie,

Did it change? When I last went to AFPSLAI on April 2020 that was the amount that I saw (3.25% or 13% per annum).
I’m going to AFPSLAI this GCQ, hopefully this Friday and I’ll ask if there are updates.

When I checked their website now (Aug. 19, 2020), there’s an announcement that it’s down to just 9% per annum for the second quarter of 2020.

(Aug. 22, 2020 Edit) I went to AFPSLAI last Aug. 20, 2020 and they had this announcement posted:
“Further, the Board of Trustees approved an EDA rate of 9% per annum for the 2nd Quarter of 2020, which may likewise be withdrawn on July 27, 2020.”

      Hello Ivy2,

Ayon sa kanilang website, “For Associate Members, over-the-counter deposits are currently not allowed”.
      https://www.afpslai.com.ph/Products/deposit/cca

Pwede mo ring itanong sa kanila directly just to be sure. May contact details sila sa website nila: https://www.afpslai.com.ph/About/contact/custassist

      Hello Floren,

I haven’t gone to AFPSLAI yet even though I was scheduled to receive it last Oct. 26. I’ll try to go next week, but it depends.
I’ll make an update by then.

(Edit: My schedule has been filled that week so I think the earliest I can try is at the end of November or start of December.)

      Hello Floren,

I went to AFPSLAI today and got the CCA for the third quarter of 2020. Like the second quarter, the annual dividend now is just 9% so you should get 2.25% for this quarter.
I took a picture of the latest announcement and updated the AFPSLAI 2020 post. You can check it out here.

      https://www.afpslai.com.ph/About/contact/faqs

Q29: Can other persons deposit on my behalf?
A: Yes, possession of your passbook by your duly authorized representative when making a deposit is allowed. It is assumed and deemed that you have knowledge of such deposit transaction.

Q30: Can a representative fill-in the amount or date on the withdrawal slip as authorized by the account holder?
A: Yes, provided that the name of the authorized representative and the signature of the account holder are reflected in the space provided on the withdrawal slip. The AFPSLAI ID of the account holder must also be in the possession of the authorized representative during the transaction.

      I hope it helps!

      Regards,
      Ray L.

          Hello Thaurus,

          Regards,

Hi Sir, I just recently applied online and need to complete the requirements of an associate member and report to their nearest office. Being new here, would like to ask since based on what I have read, they no longer accept deposit for CCA from associate members which I am really eyeing for. So for new associate member sa SDA nlang sila allowed with 3% interest per annum and no dividen payout? Is it like a regular savings account with higher rate compared to bank?Kindly enlighten po.Thank you.

      Hello Rosanne,

Sadly they no longer accept new CCA accounts (Green Passbook) for associate members. As for the SDA (Red Passbook), as far as I know, it is exactly like a regular savings account in other banks but with 3% tax free interest rate per year.

      Hello Janice,

Sa last week of April 2021 (April 26 to 28) pa po papasok iyon sa Green or Red passbook. Eto po ang schedule sa 2021.

I hope it helps.

      Thank you!
