Noong kamakailan lang, nagrent ako ng isang therapy book na isinulat ni Stacey Freedenthal para matulungan ang isang kaibigang may mga napakaseryosong problema sa buhay. Sa kalagitnaan ng libro, nagulat ako dahil mayroon doong napakagandang aral tungkol sa problem solving o paglutas ng problema na tinalakay ko na dati.

Ang buhay ay talagang punong puno ng mga problemang hindi natin pwedeng balewalain, at minsan pakiramdam natin parang hindi na natin sila makakaya. Kapag napakahirap na ng ating mga problema, ang utak natin ay naiipit sa mga hindi mainam na solusyon (tulad ng krimen o pagpapatiwakal), at kapag naipit ang utak natin, hindi lang natin nakakalimutan ang mga masasamang epekto ng mga ito, hindi na rin natin maiisip ang mga mas mabubuting solusyon na pwede sana nating gawin.

Kung parang gipit at desperado ka na sa buhay, narito ang isang problem solving strategy na pwede mong gamitin sa mga panahon ng kagipitan.

Some time ago I rented a therapy book by Stacey Freedenthal so I could help a close friend through some very serious life problems. Midway through, I was definitely surprised to find a very useful self-help lesson about problem solving that I’ve talked about before.

Life is inevitably full of problems that we cannot ignore, but sometimes they can get too much for us to handle. When times get really tough, our minds can get stuck on some drastic solutions (like crime or suicide), and when our minds get stuck we not only forget the horrible consequences, we also won’t be able to think about all the other BETTER solutions out there.

Paano kumuha ng Postal ID

Isipin mo na lang kung gaano kahirap ang buhay kapag wala kang valid government-issued ID. Hindi ka makakapagbukas ng bank account, hindi mo maveverify ang sarili mo sa mga online payment at transportation apps tulad ng GCash at Grab, at wala kang prueba ng iyong identity kapag may susunduin kang packages. Ang mga iyon ay iilan lang sa mga problemang kailangan mong harapin at napakaraming ordinaryong bagay ang hindi mo magagawa dahil wala kang valid ID.

Sa kasamaang palad, para makakuha ng ilang government ID kakailanganin mo ang IBA PANG valid ID bilang requirement upang makuha sila. Kung wala kang ID talagang maiipit ka. Buti na lang may isang valid government-issued ID na madali lang kuhanin at iyon ay ang Philippine Postal ID (PID).

Can you imagine life without a valid government-issued ID? You can’t open a bank account, you can’t verify yourself on online payment and transport apps like GCash and Grab, and you can’t prove your identity when picking up packages. Those are just some of the problems you’ll have to face, and you’re basically stuck and unable to do a lot of basic things simply because you don’t have a valid ID.

Unfortunately, most government IDs need OTHER valid IDs as a requirement to get them so if you don’t have an ID, you’re definitely stuck. Thankfully there’s one valid government-issued ID that’s relatively easy to get, and that’s the Philippine Postal ID (PID).
