Time to Update Old Articles!

Time to Update Old Articles - Your Wealthy Mind

It’s one thing to create a new article, it’s another to update and improve older ones. Times change and writing skills improve, and very often, what was “good” in the past may no longer be good enough. When some your “best” becomes just average, it’s probably time to change it for the better.

We mentioned before on another article that you have to “growth hack” your business. Very few products start off great (and as a blog, our articles are our “products”). You must take what you have and continue making small improvements. All that effort adds up over time and soon you eventually end with something great.

These are some older articles that we will improve on this week. Come on and check them out! You may remember something important, and you might just learn something new.

In today’s world, we never seem to run out of work to do. There’s almost always SOMETHING that needs to be done, but we rarely ever have time to do all of them. Thankfully, we don’t need to do every single thing that comes up in our to-do lists ourselves and we also don’t need to do it all at once. Understanding that is a great way to not only become more productive but become more effective as well.

Now how can you become more effective at work with the limited time you have? Try using U.S. President Dwight Eisenhower’s technique: organize your work list based on how urgent and how important things are! Here’s how you can improve your productivity using the Eisenhower matrix.

How to Improve Your Productivity with the Pomodoro Technique

How to Improve Your Productivity with the Pomodoro Technique - Your Wealthy Mind
Tagalog Version (Click Here)

Focus on a task, but take frequent breaks. Although some managers think working on something for hours (plus overtime) equals productivity, the reality is that working with no breaks will simply tire you out. You work more hours, but after a while the quality of your work suffers and you get less things done.

Don’t forget that it’s not how long you work that’s important, it’s how much of the important stuff you accomplish and how well you accomplish them. So how can you improve your productivity at work (or at school)? Try using the good old Pomodoro technique made by Francesco Cirillo in the 1980s. Here’s how you can use that simple method to become more effective.

How to Write a Business Plan

How to Write a Business Plan - Your Wealthy Mind
Tagalog Version (Click Here)

In cooking, great chefs follow a concept called “mise en place” (everything in place). That means you must have understood the cooking instructions and prepared all the ingredients before you start to cook any dish. If you don’t make sure that everything is ready, the things you’ve forgotten to prepare can seriously ruin your dish. This concept can be applied to  building a business. You must have everything planned out beforehand so you can anticipate problems and resolve them before they even start, and you will also list down the actions that can help boost your business’ chances of success.

Aside from preparing for potential issues, if you need a loan from a bank or you need investors to help you raise capital for your business, they will most likely need to see your business plan first. Think about it. If someone is asking you for ten thousand dollars, the one who knows exactly what they need to do to make the business successful is a much better bet than the one who’s just winging it.

While there are many more detailed business plan guides out there on the internet this one is simply meant to show you the basics. The main reason why I decided to write this was because there’s not a lot of guides out there written in Tagalog. If you want to start writing a business plan, just read this for an overview of the things you need to think about.
