How to solve almost ANY Problem

We all face difficulties in life and sometimes we come across certain problems that seem far too difficult to handle. Fortunately, there are multiple ways out of any tough situation and infinite ways through and around every obstacle. The trick is simply learning how to find it.

So what ails you?

Your job is too stressful or boring and you want to get out of it… but you can’t find anything better.

You want to get rich in order to live in a better house, eat good food, and send your children to excellent schools… but you came from a poor family and you don’t know what to do.

You want to travel, help the poor to rise above poverty, or follow your life’s dream… but you’re too tied down by your responsibilities.

“How do I get a better job? How can I get rich? How can I follow my dreams?” If you asked Robert H. Schuller the pastor, motivational speaker, and author of books like “Tough Times Never Last, but Tough People do!”, he’ll answer you with a strange question:

Killing Dreams and Keeping Poor People Poor

One thing I hate are people who say and think that poor people are stupid, lazy, or useless. They don’t say it out loud, but you’ll usually find them when somebody shares inspiring rags to riches stories. They are the commenters who say that “rich people got rich only because they’re lucky” and “it’s impossible for a poor person to get rich because they don’t have the education, the opportunities, the skills, etc. to do it.” They’re also the ones who say that “hard work is useless” or “there are many who work hard but still end up poor” and never offer any encouraging solution.

Many of those people completely misinterpret the intent of inspiring posts to mean that “poor people are poor because it’s their own fault” or that “hard work works for some but it never works for everyone else.” They are the example of how our thoughts and perspectives affect our worldview: while many of us see those posts as sources of inspiration (“If they can do it, we can do it too!”), those people see them as insults (“Successful people just got lucky and everybody else will fail so they must NEVER even TRY!”).

While they mean well by trying to point out the problems that poor people face, by degrading and demeaning the message from inspirational posts they do far more harm than good. The end result is that they’re discouraging the poor by implying that they can NEVER rise above poverty, and that they are so weak and helpless that they can never earn prosperity unless somebody gives them charity.

Opportunities or Failure: You get what you Think About

“Thoughts are things” (Napoleon Hill), “what you focus on and think about expands”, and “seek and you will find” (Matthew 7:7). Whatever you think about during your free time determines what you will consistently see AND what you will always get: Opportunities or Failure. Your thoughts, beliefs, and perspectives determine your worldview.

  • Some people see an empty field… others see a possible farmland or a shopping mall.
  • Some people see a street full of tired commuters… others see a street that needs a restaurant or a cafe.
  • Some people see a laptop for games and facebook… others see an online business tool.
  • Some people see old and broken houses… others see a renovation and decoration business opportunity.
  • Some people see an unemployed person… others see a potential entrepreneur or employee.
  • Some people see that they have no time because of their long commutes… others see free time to read business and investing books while on the bus or train.
  • Some people see free time to waste and watch TV after work… others see time to study investments.
  • Some people see money they can spend on gambling… others see money they can invest for their future.
  • Some people see a book on finance, business, or investing that costs $10 and think it’s expensive… others see knowledge that can let them earn $10 million.
  • Some people see that they’re poor… others see that they can someday become rich.
  • Some people see all their problems and limitations in life… others see all their blessings and opportunities.

Again, your thoughts, beliefs, and perspectives determine the opportunities and problems that you notice or ignore as well as how you act upon them. How do you see the world around you?

An Unforgettable Lesson from Jim Carrey: Do what You Love

February 21, 2016 by Ray L. 11 Comments

“Do what you love” is a piece of advice that many life coaches teach, and, even if few will recommend that you make the career leap right away, it’s still something you need to make time for.

Some time ago my friend and I were discussing career changes and he told me that, although he wanted to try writing too, he was too scared to leave the secure paychecks provided by an office job. It’s perfectly understandable as, although we’re both single, he lives alone and he has a lot of bills to pay while I can still live with my family. I have also invested a part of my salary for the past six years so my investments give me adequate cashflow for a sort of mini financial independence.

That little discussion of ours, by the way, reminded me of Jim Carrey’s commencement speech at Maharishi University and his “do what you love” lesson (You can find the full video and transcript at www.mum.edu here):

31 Self Improvement Tips to change your Destiny

31 self improvement tips to change your destiny pixabay yourwealthymind your wealthy mind

Similar to how mastering the laws of physics and aerodynamics can allow you to fly, learning and mastering the laws of daily life will let you accomplish far more than those who don’t. If you wish to achieve your full potential, then here are 31 self improvement tips you should learn and remember:

For a Better Future
  1. Take Responsibility for Your Life

What do most UNSUCCESSFUL people have in common? They love blaming others and making excuses, especially for their own mistakes and bad habits. It’s always their boss’ fault, the economy’s fault, their government’s fault. Since they never admit to their OWN faults, they keep waiting for the world to change and they never realize that they personally hold the key to bettering their lives. If you want to someday become successful, then you must remember that YOU are the only one in charge of your destiny.

  1. Set BIG Goals

Like I said in a previous article, those who live without setting any definite goals waste their lifetimes achieving nothing worthwhile. If you spend your time worrying and reacting to the problems that keep popping up every now and then, you’ll wake up on your deathbed realizing and regretting that you’ve never really lived.
